The City of Andover
Andover is a highly desired place to live, work and play. As their Vision Statement shows, “Andover is a safe, growing community in which to live and work which enhances the quality of its citizens' lives through recreational opportunity, quiet neighborhoods, civic involvement, fiscal and environmental stewardship.” (City of Andover)
If that wasn’t enough, Anoka-Hennepin School District #11 serves nearly four fifths of the City, which is one of the top Minnesota Public Districts. Legacy Christian Academy is also located in Andover, and has received several awards.
Looking for something fun to do in the Andover area? Anoka County Bunker Hills Regional Park, also home of Bunker Beach Waterpark, offers 400 acres of recreational land for activities like golf, hiking, biking, cross country skiing, camping, and more.
A new Skate Park has recently opened on the west side of Sunshine Park off of Crosstown Boulevard.
Andover Community Center offers several activities and programs for residents, such as:
- Active older adults programs
- Tot programs
- Walking Clubs
The Andover Senior Center is located at the City Hall. Seniors gather here to play cards and games weekly, take part in day trips and tours, and even enjoy catered meals once a month.
